First off, West Deer is scenic. In an age where everything is a "concrete jungle," we are still very green. There are vast fields, farms, and woodlands that make up our beautiful township. We have huge parks with recreational activities available to our wonderful citizens (of any age, too).

Secondly, we are close to everything! Every amenity is either within our borders or nearby. Pittsburgh Mills Mall, Cranberry, Ross Park Mall, and Route 8 shops and services are all within mere minutes of West Deer Township. In addition, we are a short twenty-minute drive from Downtown Pittsburgh and everything the city has to offer.

When you put those two characteristics together, you can see why we can boast what we do. However, when you add in the close-knit community spirit which exists in the Township's residents, West Deer easily becomes the hidden gem of Western Pennsylvania.
