The Zoning Hearing Board is a five (5) member board appointed by the Township Supervisors to hear appeals to the existing provisions of the Township Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Hearing Board serves as a quasi-judicial body, and listens to arguments by residents and local businesses on matters such as variances, special exceptions to land use regulations, and setback requirements where literal enforcement results in an unnecessary hardship.
The Zoning Hearing Board schedules hearings on applications and appeals that come before it, hears the arguments based on evidence provided, and issues written decisions based on findings of fact and conclusions of law. The Board meets as applications are filed.
