West Deer Senior Citizens Center
The Catholic Youth Association (CYA) works in conjunction with the Township to operate the West Deer Center in the Country, a senior citizen activities center located at the Nike Site Park on Route 910. The Center provides low-cost meals and numerous indoor and outdoor activities. All seniors from West Deer Township and the surrounding area are invited to participate.
The Center organizes sight-seeing trips, walks, shopping excursions, and many other activities for senior citizens. It has a computer lab, Silver Sneakers exercise programs, a small library, and – as you might expect – bingo and card games.
Being involved in a broad range of recreational activities is healthful. It helps seniors stay mentally and physically sharp. So the Township encourages seniors to take advantage of the Center.
